Wei Dingmei, Deputy Mayor of Guiyang, Leads a Investment Delegation to UK, Spain and Israel

In accordance with the requirements for overseas investment promotion set forth by local government offices for the  Guiyang International Investment and Trade Fair,  Wei Dingmei, Deputy Mayor of Guiyang City, led a delegation to UK, Spain and Israel from August 28 to September 6 to take part in activities  for the promotion of overseas investments with the theme of "boosting the development of the real economy" in order to implement the strategies for "rapidly turning the city into a center for equitable sharing and innovation" and for "more effectively attracting investment and talent for the purpose of improving the investment environment and the  new image of Guiyang as an attractive zone for both investment and tourism, with a healthy ecology, a strong market, and a center of big data. An additional objective of the delegation is to entice developed countries to invest their resources in Guiyang.  The group achieved satisfying results, taking initial steps to establish cooperation with multinational incubators and internationally renowned enterprises such as Cocoon Networks, Azrom Agricultural Innovations, Sourasky Medical Center, etc., and reaching cooperation agreements with a number of physical companies and investment institutions such as Metalysis, Infinity Group, etc. The event was also an opportunity to learn about the trend of advanced industrial development in foreign countries and to more broadly promote the image of Guiyang's big data resources and ecology, and was a greatly significant step toward further enhancing the city's openness to the outside world and promoting export-oriented economic development.
