Jason Attends High-Level Video Conference

Jason Xiang attends high-level video conference between Charles, Prince of Wales and Chinese entrepreneurs.

On October 12th, Jason Xiang, founder of the Sino-European Manufacturing Club (SEMC) and president of Kylin Spirits Group, was invited to participate in a high-level video conference attended by Charles, Prince of Wales and Chinese entrepreneurs and organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT). The theme of the conference was "Shared Earth, Shared Future", and twenty Chinese entrepreneurs from fields such as energy, environmental protection, finance, manufacturing, communications, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, and infrastructure were invited to attend. The goal of the conference was to encourage participation by the Chinese business community in the Sustainable Markets Initiative proposed by Prince Charles, and to explore new opportunities for cooperation between China and global companies in the field of sustainable development. 

Corporate representatives from the following ten enterprises attended the conference: China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., China General Nuclear Power Group Co., Ltd., Bank of China Co., Ltd., CITIC Securities Co., Ltd., China Three Gorges International Corporation, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd., Trina Solar Co., Ltd., Harvest Fund Management Co., Ltd., Goldwind International Holdings (Hong Kong) Ltd., and Liyu Group. Six topics were discussed with Prince Charles during the conference, including improving energy efficiency, promoting green and low-carbon household consumption, encouraging the private sector to participate in the governance of biodiversity, improving the green financial market, creating innovative solutions, and strengthening market exchange.

Gao Yan, Chairwoman of the CCPIT, Zheng Zeguang, Chinese Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and Brian Moynihan, Chairman and CEO of Bank of America and Co-Chair of the Sustainable Markets Initiative, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT, presided over the meeting.
