[Heading to San Francisco] SEMC Delegation Attends the 2023 APEC Conference

From November 14-16, 2023, at the invitation of the APEC Secretariat, the founder of the Sino-European Manufacturing Club and CEO of Kylin Spirits Group, Jason Xiang, led the team to San Francisco to attend the conference. He met with Mr. Xu Peng, co-chair of the APEC 2023 Organizing Committee, and Mr. Ning Gaoning, the Chinese representative of the APEC Business Advisory Council, among others.

The event kicked off with a high note as organized by the Consulate General of San Francisco, the delegation and groups such as the Tsinghua University Alumni Association went to San Francisco International Airport to participate in the welcome ceremony for President Xi Jinping.

During the conference, the SEMC delegation, as blue-card DELEGATES, listened to speeches by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., California Governor Gavin Newsom, Thai Prime Minister Sretta Thavisin, Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, South Korean President Yoon Seok-youl, Chilean President Gabriel Boric, New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Luxon, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Peruvian President Dina Boluarte, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and U.S. President Joseph Biden.

Furthermore, they engaged in exchanges with business leaders such as Uber Global CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, Founder and President of Longi Green Energy Li Zhenguo, and Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Qihoo 360 Zhou Hongyi.

Afterward, the delegation visited Stanford University and had an exchange with Chinese skier Eileen Gu.

At the closing ceremony of the conference, Jason reached a significant consensus on relevant cooperation with Mr. Luciano Paredes, the Executive Director of the APEC Peru Organizing Committee for 2024. They look forward to meeting again in Peru in 2024.
