SEMC: Aiming to Create More Collaboration Opportunities for Manufacturing Industry Even Amid Brexit

   Facing the uncertainty posed by Brexit, the manufacturing industry is approaching a period of transformation, and the UK is struggling to find a comprehensive solution. Many look to industry strategies in the UK for answers to economic problems in these uncertain times.

In February 2019, a number of successful entrepreneurs from China met in UK for a series of discussions organized by the Sino-European Manufacturing Club (SEMC), which included representatives from the following companies:
1. Impression Technologies Limited, a global pioneering aluminum alloy technology company
2. IP Group, a leading IP commercialization company from the UK
3. FV, a leading TMT investment fund
4. Sellar, developer of the Shard
5. Mansard Asset Management

Jason Xiang, CEO of the SEMC, was invited to attend the dinner held by the Conservative Party, where he met and exchanged views with Prime Minister Theresa May and eight other Cabinet Ministers.

On the second day, he was invited to attend a dinner event named "Invest in the Future" and hosted by the Prince’s Foundation, where Jason met with Prince Charles.

   The UK places great importance on international cooperation and communication in manufacturing. The prosperity of the manufacturing sector requires a joint effort and the prioritizing of scientific research. In this was the industry will have a positive impact on productivity and living standards at both the local and national levels.
