SEMC Becomes Official Sponsor of Clinton Global Initiative
The 2024 meeting, themed "What's Working," brought together hundreds of leaders from around the world, including 8 heads of state and government, 22 CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, chairs of the world's top 30 family foundations, and A-list celebrities. They focused on initiatives making significant impacts, exploring solutions, and taking action to address major global challenges, including climate change, health equity, business, and philanthropy. The meeting resulted in 175 new action commitments, expected to positively impact the lives of over 280 million people, including providing maternal and child health services to 435,000 people, improving educational resource access for 275,000 people, addressing water and sanitation in Africa, distributing $54 million in humanitarian aid supplies, and reducing or avoiding over 7.3 million tons of CO2 emissions annually.

The SEMC entrepreneur delegation, as one of the few Asian faces at the event, engaged in friendly and in-depth exchanges with CGI members, sharing insights on sustainable development and investing in China during the U.S. interest rate cut cycle, becoming one of the highlights of the event. SEMC Chairman Jason Xiang stated that they would continue to support CGI's joint actions and explore how to integrate these global initiatives with China's development strategies, making due contributions to the sustainable development of China, the U.S., and the world.
